There was no better place for children to welcome in Spring and hunt for colorful eggs than the meadows and hills at Lachat.
Children searched Lachat’s expansive meadow for eggs and turned them in for an “egg” citing prize. Children visited Lachat’s real-live bunnies and chicks, enjoyed beautiful music, painted their faces, and participated in crafts. Children visited Lacaht’s special Springtime Smores Bar in the barn. And photo ops with the Spring Bunny rounded out this perfect event!
Kiwanis Community Service Committee members led the assembly and finishing of five anonymously-donated stout cedar tables just last weekend, expanding the inventory of tables just in time to support the wide variety of events at the Lachat Town Farm at the Juliana Lachat Preserve on Godfrey Road. The tables join other tables donated and finished by Kiwanis in 2016.
